    The following conditions must be met:
    (i) Applicant must hold a permanent residence permit issued by Australia, Canada, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Schengen Agreement signatories, the United Kingdom, or the United States; or hold a visa or a resident card from one of these countries that is valid or that expired within 10 years of the date of expected arrival in Taiwan.
    (ii) Applicant must have a visa for Taiwan from the past 10 years (not including visasrated for work or "other purposes"), or an alien residence permit (not including "foreign laborers”), with no record of violations.

    Flexible Mechanism This service is extended specifically to those registrants who may be facing difficulties while trying to obtain their visa to enter Taiwan. Only applies to conference attendees, not to family members.
